Dr. Eric A. Schwartz, DAT, M.Ed., LAT, ATC

Athletic Trainer

Dr. Eric A. Schwartz, DAT, LAT, ATC, has proudly served as athletic trainer at Washington Township Public Schools since August 2011.  A native of Ewing Township, New Jersey, Dr. Schwartz holds a B.S. in Movement and Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University (1998), a Master's Degree in Health Education from The College of New Jersey (1999), and earned his Doctorate in Athletic Training from Moravian University in 2020.

Licensed in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania and nationally certified since 1999, Dr. Schwartz has dedicated the majority of his professional career to the secondary school setting, where he has consistently elevated the standard of care for student-athletes. His extensive experience includes working with numerous NJSIAA Tournament of Champions events - spanning wrestling, track and field, swimming, diving, and more - bringing a wealth of statewide clinical and organizational insight to every patient he treats. 

Dr. Schwartz has been an active and influential leader within the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey (ATSNJ), serving on key committees including the Executive Council, JATPAC, Governmental Affairs, ATs Care, and Public Relations. He led the organization as President from 2015-2017 and currently contributes to the profession at the regional and national levels as NATA District Two Secretary and EATA Convention Registration Co-Chair.

A published author in various professional journals, Dr. Schwartz continues to advocate for evidence-based practice and professional advancement in athletic training. His dedication has earned him numerous honors, including:
